Times article about the recent social/avant-garde phenomenon of hot-wifing, an updating of swinging in which only the wife or female partner participates directly as the seductress - while hubby holds back until later with only her (ever) - “appreciating” her desirability to other males. Here, a nice-but-boring, out-of-shape family couple in their thirties whose intimacy and excitement have waned explore a culture of their own making, not knowing in the beginning that it is already a nearly-worldwide online phenomenon. This aside, in the beginning Heather Wellesley faces a serious learning curve as her seduction techniques with other men meet, ironically, with varying degrees of (initial) failure. (50 Shades of Grey métier, but lighter, "friskier:" more Irma la Douce than Body Heat.) VACANT LAND by Lunne Christensen - Genre: Modern Day Western After losing his beloved wife in a tragic mill accident, a wealthy rancher unexpectedly sells out and escapes to Montana.
